“How are you?”

Tired. And a tad pissed.

A question that I believe statistically has the most dishonest answers ever. More often than not, anyone who is asked this question will reply with the golden phrase, “I’m fine”.

If you were to ask me this question right now, I’m not sure what I’d tell you. Lying on my bed and facing the ceiling while I listen to Victor Wooten’s “The Lesson” on YouTube Music and I don’t know how I feel. Typing this on a mobile phone or on a laptop, what’s the difference really? And I don’t know how I feel. Most times, I don’t even know what to write and I do it anyway and this is one of those times. Where the dreaded mental writer’s block just jumps out at you like a mugger on the street and grabs you by the throat. I don’t know what to write but write, I shall. School is as hectic as ever and everything just seems overwhelming. The crazy thing is the year just started and I cannot fathom how it can already be this stressful.

Trying to dish out a new story everyday on Medium isn’t going to be easy. But this space is where I feel that I can share my thoughts and feelings, the ups and downs, successes and failures, brainstorm and all of that good stuff.

So, how am I? I’m tired. And a tad pissed. A little stressed and mad overwhelmed. But I’m also thankful, in a good head space, healthy, grateful for every new day and ready to face the challenges full speed ahead, charging through every one of them like an angry bull that can only see red.

Here’s to a wonderful journey. Here’s to effort and consistency. Here’s to everything before, after, and in between.

As always, get outta here and I’ll see you in the next one.
