I’m losing my mind, and very rightly so. I’m listening to a slowed down version of the Wolfblood Theme Song and working on this new novel that’s taken my attention and passion — which is also, coincidentally, werewolf themed. If you read this, let me know if you want me to share something on that later.
This post is dedicated solely to delving into the various, and mostly new, ways that Nigeria has found to screw me. It is not a matter or case of if I will be screwed; it is simply a status of how and when. Even the why is irrelevant because you live within a society that is corrupt from the inside out, so much so that you can’t even tell where one leg of the beast ends and where the other one begins.
Within these particular toxic, negligent, and very divided states, lies the divide that separates us all: wisdom. Or common sense. Or, at the very least, some semblance of competence. And, even as I sit here and complain, I genuinely cannot think of the cause of or the solution to what plagues this nation. All I possess is a laptop, an Internet connection, and jokes. I shall use what I have.
